Founded in Khaled Bichara’s memory, the scholarship supports students from Upper and Middle Egypt through an undergraduate degree at the American University in Cairo.

WHAT IT COVERS
Where you would study
The American University in Cairo.
What you would study
Computer science, computer engineering, data science or entrepreneurship.
How long
Four years, or five for computer engineering.
What is covered
Full tuition, a room in the university student housing, and money every month for living costs.
Where scholars come from
The scholarship focuses on Upper and Middle Egypt. The 2025 cohort came from Giza, Beni Suef, Minya, Sohag and Luxor.
What is expected of you
You must keep your grades at the required level for the whole length of the scholarship.
